The Orchard School and Community Center
The mission of the Orchard School & Community Center is to foster community learning, healing, and sustaining. We encourage programs that provide inclusive learning for children and adults. We provide healing space for movement, expression, and the restoration of vitality. We sustain the community by encouraging connection with the land, the arts, and the diversity of cultures beyond our rural community.
We are a small, rural bakery located in beautiful southwest New Hampshire. Our operation is run out of a renovated barn located on our family owned farm. We strive to produce foods that nourish the body and please the palate.
Our vision is a community of learners inspired to create, collaborate, and contribute, both in and out of school settings, for their entire lives. We hope to “cultivate the experimental mind,” as Piaget says, and “lead the child to construct for himself the tools that will transform him from the inside.”
Monadnock Buy Local
A network of locally-owned businesses, nonprofits and citizens building a stronger local economy and a more vibrant community. MBL’s Goals: Organize a campaign that educates customers, businesses, and government agencies to the benefits of purchasing from locally-owned businesses. Bring together independent businesses for mutual benefit and networking opportunities. Support ordinances and regulations that promote locally-owned businesses.
Monadnock Table
Our mission is to support our local farmers and food producers and help them connect with Monadnock region consumers. Our goal is to inform the Monadnock community about the art and science of growing, preparing, cooking and storing local foods; we also highlight local farm and food events and work to promote new local foods and products.
Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition
A Local Food Coalition in Southwestern New Hampshire. MFCC is a regional coalition whose mission is to support a sustainable food system by cultivating community action and building collaborations to implement effective programs, projects and policies.

Tillers International is a 501(c)3 IRS non-profit organization for international rural development, specializing in farming with oxen. Based in Scotts, Michigan, USA at our Cook's Mill Learning Center, Tillers offers classes in appropriate technology farming techniques, draft animal power, blacksmithing and metal work, timber framing, woodworking, cheesemaking, and many other farming and artisanal skills

Wichland Woods is a unique, local myco-business located in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. By educating the public about mycology, we strive to promote people’s awareness about the health and ecological benefits of mushrooms.
Coalition of Immokalee Workers
The CIW is a community-based organization of mainly Latino, Mayan Indian and Haitian immigrants working in low-wage jobs throughout the state of Florida. We strive to build our strength as a community on a basis of reflection and analysis, constant attention to coalition-building across ethnic divisions, and an ongoing investment in leadership development to help our members continually develop their skills in community education and organization.

Undustrial Timber Frames is a single-member Limited Liability Company specializing in the design/build process of Timber Frames and natural wall systems. We focus on energy efficient enclosures and are dedicated to creating appropriately sized timber framed homes, barns and outbuildings. We believe good design principles come from observation of the natural world, well established traditional building styles and techniques as well as adherence to site specific ecological and geological features.

Resilience Planning & Design is a New Hampshire based firm providing collaborative planning, design and education services. Professional Planner, Steve Whitman, has been working in the public, non-profit and private sectors in New England for eighteen years and has come to be recognized by his peers as a leader and innovator.

Mole Hill Theater
Mole Hill Theatre has its unlikely origins as a machine shop; over the past ten years, it has become an increasingly popular venue for enjoying some of the best musical offerings in the region. Located in East Alstead at the western edge of the state, Mole Hill Theatre has its own unique feel created by art, eclectic furnishings, and a stage flanked by brightly colored machine presses on either side.
The Monadnock Region Permaculture Group
The Monadnock Region Permaculture Group, sponsored by The Sustainability Project, Inc., provides a community forum and an online calendar of events for Permaculture information & discussion. Permaculture is the practice and theory that builds permanent agricultural and human systems based on patterns in nature. This group offers a variety of workshops and learning opportunities such as: films and educational speakers, permaculture farm & garden tours, discussion and book study groups, hands on experiences, community garden building, energy conscious living, seed and plant swaps, and social events designed to strengthen our connections and support sustainable community action.
